Some Sunday, Some Monday

Well, I said “there won't be much to do” about yesterday's clean-up session, but I was wrong... First, we loaded my car up to the gills with boxes of stuff to be distributed locally. Then we loaded the van up to the gills (wait, do vans have gills?). Once loaded, the van wouldn't start, so there was battery recharging and general poking about that had to be done. The good news is that the furniture items advertised on Craig's List were sold, so we didn't have to deal with them. Relief.

We had just enough time to drive up to North Portland for Vana & M's Blessing & Ground-Breaking Ceremony. The turnout was impressive, but they know a gazillion people. oh_that_jocelyn spent a fair bit of time chatting with other performers from the Portland theater community. She's such a good sport. She'd introduce me as her “Wasband,” tell the person that I write a hilarious webcomic, then look at me and ask if I have one of my webcomic cards so she can write her email address on the back to give to them. I don't know how many people will actually read the comic, but it's a pretty good way to hand out a bunch of cards with the URL on them.

Today is all about posting the comic, sending out the Newsletter, and dealing with the stuff that didn't go to Coos Bay. We decided to do the prep work today and all the errands on Tuesday, rather than some driving today and some more tomorrow. And we should probably get a walk in there while the weather's good. We're likely to have a vigorous Three-Deck game of cards this evening, so it's not all work today.
