Then last night, I gave my tenth speech at the regular club meeting. The assignment was to give an inspirational speech for a real or imagined event; I chose to give the commencement address for the Fictitious Graduating Class of 2005. Not to sound immodest, but I did great! The audience had to scramble around afterward to find their socks*. I spoke about Persistence, using examples of J. K. Rowling, Ernest Shackleton, and Milt Campbell (a decathalete in the 1952 and 1956 Olympics). I think Commencement Speaking is another thing I'm particularly good at, like naming artwork. I should contact the proper person at Lewis & Clark and let them know that I'm available if they ever need me for that.
* Because I knocked them off, you see.
