After a week filled with projecty stuff, I was happy to start the weekend by seeing "How To Train Your Dragon" (3D) with snottygrrl. I don't think it's spoilery to say that it's based on a children's book of the same name, although modified from the original material into a thinly-veiled allegory about the Boxer Rebellion. I'd say more about that, but their surprising representation of Belgium works best without spoilers. So... I think I enjoyed the movie more than snottygrrl did, but it's not a must-see. The 3D is fine. I do wonder if Dreamworks heard about "Avatar," and decided that they needed to do their own version, but changed just enough to avoid accusations of being a rip-off? Because it's kinda like that.
We then went to Chang's for Mongolian Barbeque, which I think I enjoyed more than snottygrrl did.
And then back at her flat, we talked, as usual, about a wide range of topics, like the project she's working on for me, and how I should rebuild my website (because I need more large projects). And stuff. I left after 11:00, which for me is well after Bed Time, so I'm kinda tuckered today.
