All this got me to wondering; what was the best decade from the last 100 years? And not in that nostalgic, "Happy Days" sense, but best for the whole picture of economic, social, environmental and political conditions affecting everyone in the US (Yes, this is going to be US-centric, because I don't know enough about world history to really rank decades on a global scale).
