2009 In Review

I know, 2009 isn't quite over yet, but I wanted to be the first to look back at it and reflect on how the year has gone so far. Besides, everybody else is still talking about 2008, and I'm totally Living In The Future.

I enjoyed 2009 (so far), although it was consistently rainy, with headaches (well, the rain didn't have... you know what I mean). I was pretty tired through all of it, due to being out last night (and the neighbors thoughtfully blowing things up after midnight).

Baby Hz has learned to wave when I wave at her! Although the first time, she had her palm pointed back at her, and the second time, she waved at her own foot. But it's fun to see her developing that sense of stimuli/response. There's talk of teaching her baby sign, so one of my goals for the remainder of the year is to teach her the sign for "squirrel."

I've washed dishes and flossed every day this year.

I liked how I stayed home and watched movies. So far, I've got a 100% record of Not Going To Big Happy Fun Time, and I'd like to continue that streak as long as possible.

There was thinking about goals and objectives for 2009, and aside from the aforementioned flossing, I haven't achieved any of them yet. But I have high hopes that I can fit in a bunch of creative work between now and December 31st, and maybe get more work published.

Oh, yeah. I've posted something in LJ every day in 2009 (to date). I'll try to finish out the rest of the year with a higher percentage than I did in 2008.
