hat, tophat, Evan, 2019

I'm not normally one to plug someone else's TV movies, but I just had to say something about this. Apparently some accountant at the oddly-named Syfy network has done the math and determined that for their original movies, the two factors with the highest profit ratios are 1) Giant CGI monsters fighting each other, and 2) 80's pop stars, preferably fighting each other. So naturally, they made "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid," starring both Debbie Gibson and Tiffany. It premieres tonight at 9:00, on the aforementioned Syfy channel.

Since I haven't seen it yet, I don't know that it will feature low acting density and squirm-inducing dialog, but I think I'll probably watch it with the sound off. That's how I watched most of "Sharktopus", and it was just as good that way. Plus, it's kinda fun to make up the dialog for them.

I'm sure you're all wondering, will "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid" feature an elite band of bikini-wearing female commandos who must set aside their differences to watch Debbie Gibson and Tiffany fight and then they all defeat Mega Python and Gatoroid together? We can only hope.
