Over the weekend I prepared two Newsletters and assembled six comics. In two days! Perhaps that doesn't seem like so much, but it didn't leave much time for anything else. I did go to lunch with sanguinity
on Saturday (Mmmm, Thai Food!), went to Second Breakfast with drarwenchicken
and BILJ on Sunday, and had phone conversations with oh_that_jocelyn
and my mother. (My parents are big fans of my work, which is very gratifying, although they sometimes wonder how I turned out so Silly.)
With this push, I'm back on track to reach my goal*. But this effort made me realize I'm basically doing NaNoWriMo
for two months. October is turning out to be NaNo-paced; all non-essential tasks are being left "for later," and writing (or in this case, Newsletter and comic-making) comes first, and consumes all Free Time.
Still, it was fun, and I'm really, really enjoying being ahead. Several times I've opened the Future folder just to admire the orderly stack of prepared comics, patiently waiting their turn. The view is mighty nice from higher up on the Escalator...* By November, 4 Newsletters and 13 comics ahead (i.e. a month's worth of each). Current Mood: accomplished
