75% of the population admits they do it, 25% lie about it...
On Sunday, I went golfing. By myself. It's hard enough to admit that I golf, but to acknowledge that I do it ALONE! I mean, my god. But I did. I actually had a pretty good time! Naturally this was out at Edgefield, which is only a 3-par course, not a full-size one by any means.
The major downside was that there were no witnesses to my 18th-hole tee shot to within 6' of the pin (!), or my 10th-hole 35' chip shot over a rise INTO THE HOLE!!!! It was amazing. The plus side of solo-golf is that without the waiting for others to play, one keeps moving; it's almost actual exercise. And
I was done in 90 minutes. Even though I enjoyed it, I don't think I'll do it very often. It's more fun with others. And if you play alone often enough, you start buying those golf magazines, but tell everyone it's just for the articles... Current Mood: relaxed
