Boxing Day, Part II

Woke up way too early, about 4:00, I think, but never really felt terribly awake all day. Assembled tomorrow’s comic, and the newsletter. I’d planned on going into work later in the day, to see if there was anything to be done, but at 11:00, I decided I’d just rather get it over with.

So I went in. Let’s see; I read some emails. And left the building 30 minutes after I went in.

After grocery shopping and lunch, I tried to find something I could do to be productive, but nothing held my attention. It all seemed stupid and pointless. So I took a nap.

That turned out to be Just The Thing. The computer was much smarter afterward, and as I checked my email, my neck thunked! into alignment again. That made a surprising difference. I can’t say I felt All Better, but my headache diminished and I no longer felt so groggy. I put together the graphic for this week’s advice column until it was time to pick up drarwenchicken and BILJ at the MAX Station (really glad I didn’t have to drive all the way to the airport! 205 was thick.)

They offered to buy me dinner to thank me for playing Airport Shuttle, which I gladly accepted. We ended up at Gustav’s in Clackamas, guided by their new GPS toy, where they told me about their trip. It was good; I miss them when they're not around.

After dinner, I now had the strength to get caught up on website updates. I’m not as far ahead as I’d hoped for this “vacation.” My expectation of daily fierce productivity have manifested more moderate advances, but there are still six days left before the next full work week.

I’m sure things will be better Tomorrow...
