I intended to walk over Mt. Tabor early this morning, but my back was feeling just a touch iffy. So I walked to the grocery store. And of course, I didn’t mean to spend the rest of the morning fiddling about with tomorrow’s comic, but that’s what I ended up doing. I’m hosting my own Award Show episode, since I got bumped from being a presenter for the WCCA. Sorry, you’ll just have to wait until Monday to see it.
Then I realized that if I spent all of this fabulous day inside, I’d be quite vexed with myself. I considered calling about to see if I could find someone to do something spontaneous with, but that seemed like effort. So I walked up Hawthorne. It wasn’t a Street Faire or anything, but it’s always interesting and the day was warm and clear.
I also watched “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” again. I’d reserved the DVD from the library, thinking that it would have great bonus features, like the BBC miniseries, but they’re actually quite disappointing. The most interesting thing is the “Improbability Drive” button at the bottom of each menu that bounces you to a random item, but all but one of those items are already menu options. And there’s a “Hangman” game that when I won a game, it locked up my DVD player, so I had to unplug it before any of the buttons would respond again. I don’t advise playing it.
Anyway, I hope tomorrow I’ll have some interesting things to report with my comic. Be sure to check it out...
